Water covers 71% of the earth’s surface but the irony of the fact is that only 2.5% of it is deemed ‘fresh’ out of which 0.1% is readily accessible! Even this accessible water is full of natural and man made pollutants!! The quality of water is deteriorating day by day not to mention its effect in India. Municipal bodies of the cities and towns treat water and supply it to the houses though distributions systems like pipes.

Only 31% of the 9,275 mm litres per day of wastewater generated by 23 metropolitan cities are treated. If you think safe water flows from your tap, you are wide of the mark. Use of water purifiers is indispensable for leading a disease-free life. A survey conducted across the world has proven that 3.4 million annual deaths occur from water-related diseases like cholera, jaundice, gastro-enteritis, giardiasis, typhoid, lead or arsenic poisoning, etc. You will obviously not want yourself or your family members to become victims of such diseases. So, install the right water purifiers and start consuming safe water. It is never too late.

Rivers in India encompassing 14% of the total length are severely polluted and 19% being moderately polluted. If you are driven by the notion that the underground is home to safe water and hence tube well and bore well water need not undergo any purification in water purifiers, you are wrong. High levels of chemicals in soil owing to industrial waste and use of pesticides, etc. in agricultural land have worsened the quality of ground water. Research has shown that in 29 districts across 14 states fluoride levels above those deemed acceptable are high besides heavy metals found in 40 districts across 13 states and high levels of arsenic in 6 districts in the Ganges river plains of West Bengal. Start using hi-tech water purifiers for consumption of safe water and lead a healthy life.

Where water is full of micro organisms, use of the uv water purifier is recommended. Presence of harmful organisms like bacteria, virus, cysts, protozoa, etc. in water is common in most of the regions in differing levels. Higher the level of the organisms, stronger is the recommendation for use of UV water purifier. The purification process in such a system involves use of a UV bulb that emits UV rays to deactivate the DNA of the organisms. What ultimately flows from the UV purifier is safe water!
